# FAQ: pricing, results, AI, and ownership

> Answers to the questions new clients ask most: pricing, minimum ad spend, how fast results arrive, what AI-backed means, and who owns the work.

If your question isn't answered here, ask us. If it turns out we're not the right fit for you, we'll say so and point you to someone who is.

## Working together

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How are you different from a normal agency?">
    Mostly it comes down to focus. We do growth marketing for consumer and prosumer brands and nothing else: no logo design, no web app development, no general social media management. There are people who do those well and we're happy to introduce you. What you get from us is the whole performance system run properly, with senior operators doing the work, no account-management layer, outcomes agreed up front, and creative, media, data, search, and conversion running as one loop rather than one channel at a time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How much does it cost?">
    Two ways to work with us, and you pick one. A one-off System Build from NZ\$12k, where we build the system and hand it over for you to run. Or a Growth Partner engagement from NZ\$6k per month, where we build it *and* run it: no separate build fee, a minimum of 90 days, then month to month. Those are starting prices; they step up with the scope of the system, and your final price is confirmed in writing before we start. Prices exclude GST. The [audit](/docs/the-audit) is free, and ad spend is always paid by you directly to the platforms with no markup. The full breakdown is on [engagements & pricing](/docs/engagements-pricing).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Are we locked into a contract?">
    The build is a one-off, so there's nothing to lock into. The Growth Partner engagement asks for 90 days, because that's how long it takes to build the system and get a fair read on it, and because the build is carried in the monthly rather than charged up front. After that it's month to month, and you can stop when it stops being worth it. Either way, everything we build is yours.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How fast can we start?">
    [The audit](/docs/the-audit) starts as soon as we have read-only access, usually within a week of the intro call.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How much of my time will this take?">
    A 90 minute kickoff, then one to two hours a week, mostly async. Fast feedback is the main thing we need from you. The [common pitfalls](/docs/guide/common-pitfalls) page explains why.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Will you rip out what's already working?">
    No. An ad that's been paying its way for months keeps its budget until something tested does better. We build the new structure around whatever is already working, and [the audit](/docs/the-audit) maps all of it before we change anything.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you replace our in-house marketer?">
    No, we make them better. In-house people own brand context and internal alignment, and we bring the growth system and the specialist depth to run it. That said, we're also happy being the whole marketing function for founders who don't have one yet.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where are you based, and does it matter?">
    Queenstown, New Zealand, working with brands across NZ, Australia, and beyond. The operating rhythm is async first, so time zones rarely get in the way.
  </Accordion>

## Results & reporting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="How quickly will we see results?">
    It depends on where you're starting from. Tracking fixes and quick media wins usually land inside the first month. Creative gains build from months two to three. AI Search/SEO is a longer curve. The plan will show the trajectory we expect, and if we don't think we can move your number, we'll say so before we start.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What metrics do you report on?">
    The ones we agreed to own: revenue, qualified leads, cost per customer, and MER (marketing efficiency ratio). They live in [one source of truth](/docs/system/data-attribution#what-is-the-growth-sheet) that updates continuously, and we walk through it with you [monthly](/docs/guide/operating-rhythm).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there a minimum ad spend?">
    It varies by industry, but as a general guide, around NZ\$1,200 per month per platform is where paid data becomes thick enough to learn from. We'll tell you where the line sits for your category during the audit. If your budget sits below it, we'd rather say so than take it.
  </Accordion>

## AI, tools & ownership

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What does AI-backed actually mean?">
    Agentic workflows handle the repeatable middle of the work: reporting, research, creative iteration, monitoring. Senior humans spend their time on judgement calls. AI never publishes anything or spends a dollar without a human decision. The details are on the [AI workflows](/docs/system/ai-workflows) page.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who owns the accounts and the work?">
    You do. Everything, including ad accounts, analytics, creative, automations, and documentation, lives in your name from day one. If we part ways, it all keeps working.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What tools do you work with?">
    Your stack first: GA4, the Meta and Google ad platforms, and whatever your site and email run on, whether that's Shopify, Klaviyo, WordPress, HubSpot, GoHighLevel or something else. Where you have gaps, we recommend from what we know works, and the licences are yours.

    On our side, the agentic layer runs on Claude Code, Anthropic's agent platform, with Cloudflare Workers handling the scheduled plumbing: pulling platform data, refreshing the growth sheet, and running the daily checks. Creative volume comes from generation tools like Higgsfield. How it all fits together is on the [AI workflows](/docs/system/ai-workflows) page.
